Agripool is an innovative AgriTech startup and crowd-farming platform based in Ghana, designed to bridge the gap between rural farmers and urban dwellers who wish to invest in agriculture. Launched in 2018, Agripool tackles two of the most pressing challenges in the agricultural sector: the lack of modern farming skills among rural farmers and the high barriers to entry for individuals seeking to invest in agribusiness.

Agripool operates a unique crowd-farming model through its dedicated digital platform (AgripoolApp), enabling a seamless flow of capital and knowledge.

• Crowd-Farming Investment: Individuals (referred to as contributors) can browse available farms and purchase farming units directly from their electronic devices. This allows urban dwellers to participate in agriculture completely hands-off while earning returns on their investment post-harvest.

• Farmer Empowerment & Training: When farming units are fully funded, Agripool assigns the land to a rural farmer. Crucially, Agripool provides these farmers with comprehensive training in modern agricultural techniques and equips them with vital infrastructure, such as irrigation systems. This shifts farmers away from unreliable, seasonal, rain-dependent farming and ensures year-round productivity.

• Transparency & Tracking: Contributors can track the progress of their funded farms in real-time, receiving regular updates from planting through to the harvest and sales phases.
