About the Opportunity

Ghana Rubber Estates Limited (GREL) is seeking a motivated professional for a Senior Staff position as a Field Manager within the Estates Unit. Located in the operational areas under the responsibility of the Estates Production Manager, this role ensures the effective monitoring of activities and operations across the divisions.

Core Scope & Broad Activities

The Field Manager is responsible for the exploitation of latex from every tappable tree in the division (old and new farms), timely crop evacuation to the factory, land preparation, planting, and rubber maintenance while ensuring established quality indices and managing all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) issues.

The role focuses on four broad operational activities:

• Land Preparation: Undertake all land preparation activities in the division according to established standards and budget.

• Planting: Responsible for planting high-quality rubber and ensuring a high planting success rate of not less than 97%.

• Field Maintenance: Handle general plant maintenance, fleet maintenance and repairs, and divisional administration.

• Production (Latex Exploitation): Supervise the exploitation of latex from every tappable tree, ensure timely crop evacuation to the factory, manage divisional labor, and maintain all quality indices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: BSc in Agriculture, Natural Resources, or any agriculture-related degree qualification.

• Experience: Minimum of at least 3 years of relevant working experience.

• Technical Competencies: Time management, budget control, personal management, basic knowledge in agronomy, computer skills, supervisory skills, and good presentation skills.

• Behavioral Competencies: Time conscious, respectful, and possessing a good sense of humor.
